Who we are
Welcome to the Savage South, where we celebrate all things beautiful, strange, and beautifully strange. It is a storied place where the past comingles with the present and where we boldly dream of a future that even if it doesn’t make sense, it at least has meaning. We aim to connect you with the wonder that lies hidden inside the magnolia bloom, and the mysteries of a sharecropper shack devoured by Kudzu Godzilla.
Savage South is operated by artist, writer, and educator Christopher Hall. We hope to provide you with video and podcast content focused on Southern oddities: cryptids, ghosts, true crime, and disasters, unusual animals, plants, and people, history, mythology, folklore, and religion, UFO encounters, literature, music, food, and culture. As our organization grows, we intend to have a range of products and have our work available for live shows.
